Back in 2014, Music Orange’s own Hector Perez was interviewed for The California Report on KQED radio. Hector discussed his GRAMMY-nominated project, Sistema Bomb, and the creative process he uses to generate electronic remixes of a centuries-old Mexican genre called Son Jarocho. Give it a listen to hear some of his tricks to get that electro-folkloric sound.
