This month…Surf punks have been around almost as long as surfing itself. But do surf goths exist? They do in "Doused," a perfect hybrid of '80s flavored post punk and '60s styled surf rock. The pulse-racing rhythm and high bass notes play with a Peter Hook (Joy Division/New Order) inspired intensity before the classic, reverb-drenched tone of Fender electric guitar tremolo drips over the mix like melting surfboard wax.
